Phantasy Star Online 2 is a free-to-play online action role-playing game in the Phantasy Star series. It is developed and published by Sega. The game is finally available in the West, after 8 years of it’s original Japan release. If you are running into the Fix Phantasy Star Online 2 1813 Error on PC, here’s how you can fix it.

To fix this error, try the methods below. It has largely to do with the ownership of the game’s folder in the Windows setting.

Method 1: Take full ownership of pso2_bin folder

  • First, head over to the drive you installed the game in from the Windows Store

  • No, right-click on the pso2_bin folder
  • Click on Properties, head over to the Security tab and click on Advanced

  • Now, change ownership to your Windows Admin Account

  • This can be done, by clicking on Advanced under the Check Names

  • Now, click on Find Now
  • Now, search for your Admin Account name, and select it

  • Click Ok and click the checkmark right underneath the ownership about applying it to everything
  • After this, close the properties, and re-open Advanced
  • Now, it will let you Add a new account
  • Add the Admin account to this via the link at the top of that window
  • Click the Full Control checkbox and click Ok
  • Now, head back to the pso2_bin folder and right-click the pso2startup.exe and Run it as Admin

This should work, if it doesn’t, try Method 2

Method 2: Take full ownership of parent folder and specific files

If Method 1 didn’t work for you, you can also try taking full ownership of the parent folder, that is ModifiableWindowsApps. Apart from this, you will also have to apply the same method on the following files and folders.

  • “Mutable” folder
  • “otp_notice_na.rtf” file
  • pso2.exe

Method 3: Sign-up at Xbox
