Toby Fox stole the show in 2015 by releasing his hit indie game Undertale. The game has since then gone on to be a smash-hit on the PC, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. The official Undertale account posted some cryptic tweets yesterday and they all have led up to the release of his new game. Which is free.
If you have been waiting for Toby Fox to return, your patience now has now paid off. His latest game is called Deltarun and yes, it is an anagram to Undertale. You can download it for free by clicking the link below.
Curiously, the game is for free on Windows and Mac. The file is called SURVEY_PROGRAM and while we haven’t had a chance to take the game for a spin yet, I am curious what a game with that name can possibly have. Undertale was a smash-hit indie game that was made in GameMaker: Studio. it had a deep story and one of the most innovative combat systems to date. don’t. The game would give you the worst possible ending if you chose to play it like a normal gamer and killed all the enemies that came in your way, you have officially ruined your chance of getting the good ending. The game focused solely on delivering a new kind of gaming experience. Accomplishment through pacifism and peaceful resolution of conflict.
While the new demo is only 80 MB, we feel like this is only a teaser for Toby’s next big project in the pipeline. Whether we have to wait for more word from the brilliant mind or we can get another stealth announcement is only a matter of time.
It is worth mentioning that Windows defender detects this as a virus. Simply turn off Windows Defender for a few minutes and allow the game to install. The game can’t possibly do any harm to your system? … right?
