Earlier this month, Digimon Survive for Nintendo Switch was announced. Now it just got its first full-length trailer. Digimon Survive was announced as a Survival Simulation RPG. The Game was said to have strong story elements. But the first trailer reveals that the game might be more than that.

Here is the first trailer. The trailer reveals that the story for Digimon Survive for Nintendo Switch is going to be delivered in a Visual Novel style. With 2D images and backgrounds with text bubbles. This indicates that the game is going to be story heavy.
The gameplay features Strategic RPG style gameplay. Which is interesting. SRPG indicates that the game is going to be more gameplay heavy than we initially thought. So this is not just a simulation. It is a visual novel and Strategic RPG blended into one.
The choice of music and the title screen artwork in the trailer instantly impress. It sets a melancholic atmosphere. Perhaps suggesting that this will be a more emotional (perhaps even, darker?) story.
