That sure is a long title, anyways, the game will feature characters from One Piece and Dragon Ball will naturally appear, as well as Hunter (Ryo Saeba), The Burning Wild Man, Cobra, Cat’s Eye, Magical Taluluto, Bastard!!, Sannen Kimengumi (Rei Ichido), Wing-Man, Kinnikuman, and more.
Over 39 works will be featured and more will be added with succession. The game is going to be a 4-player battle royale fighting game in the style of Smash Bros.All of this information was revealed in the Weekly Jump issue.
We’re expecting it to make it’s way to both Android and iOS. The game is being developed by Konami who are also working on a Castlevania game for smartphones, called Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls, which you can read all about here. Interestingly enough, that also features a 4 player co-op system, as the system description read as the following
Exhilarating battles where up to four players can cooperate. Strengthen your favorite character and take on the powerful enemies that block your path forward!
It also features a 4v4 competitive mode, but we’re expecting Weekly Shonen Jump Jikkyou Janjan Stadium to be much more massive in scale.
We currently aren’t given any pricing for now, but there’s a chance that it could be a free game with in-app purchases, though it’s unlikely, because big publishers like Konami and Square Enix usually charge for their mobile games.
