Originally released on Nov 23rd, 2017, Worms W.M.D on Nintendo Switch is a 2D turn-based strategy game in which players control a team of several worms. During the course of the game, players take turns selecting one of their worms. Then they use whatever weapons are available to attack and kill the opponent teams’ worms. The objective of the game is to completely eliminate the opponent team, whoever achieves this objective first wins the game.
New Update for Worms W.M.D on Nintendo Switch
Team17 announced yesterday on their website that they have launched a new update for Worms W.M.D on Nintendo Switch. The much-anticipated update will add such fan-requested features as:
- Friend invites – A new bespoke invite system to enable players to send invites to friends for online matches.
- Video capture – Just press and hold the Capture Button to save the previous 30 seconds of play, then upload your clips straight to Facebook and Twitter to share your glorious Worms W.M.D plays!
- More worms – We’ve increased the overall maximum worm count from a total of 32 worms on a map to 48 worms.
- Additional performance optimizations.
According to Team17’s official press release, “The worms are back in their most destructive game yet. With a gorgeous, hand-drawn 2D look, brand new weapons, the introduction of crafting, vehicles and buildings plus the return of some much-loved classic weapons and gameplay, Worms W.M.D is the best worms experience ever.”
Team17 claims that this is the best Worms game they have ever made. With features like, “30 campaign levels, 20 training missions and 10 challenge missions of increasing difficulty using the huge arsenal of new and classic weapons at your disposal. Use new vehicles to cause chaos amongst the enemy ranks and use buildings to gain the tactical advantage as you try to dominate the battlefield!”, players are sure to find themselves captivated by the game’s highly addictive gameplay.
