Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was one of last year’s most successful games for the Nintendo Switch and it is still going strong. With upcoming DLCs and content, it seems that a Stage Builder and Home-Run Contest might be headed to the game, as revealed by data miners.

Stage Builder and Home-Run Contest in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate?

Dataminers, Dr. Hyper Cake and LuigiBlood have revealed that they have found code buried in the game files that suggest the existence of both Stage Builder and Home-Run Contest. They have shared a screenshot of the code, which you can check out below

Home-Run Contest has been a game mode in every Smash entry since 2001 and serves as a form of practice, with you punching around a sandbag. Stage Builder as the name suggests allowing you to create custom stages for you to get creative with and create whatever you want.

While all of this sounds promising, for now, take this with a grain of salt. Nothing has been confirmed or even hinted by Nintendo and the developers, so at this point, it’s only a rumor. This will most likely be announced at a direct when it’s ready, along with DLCs.

We doubt these modes will be priced, as these were basic features of previous games. There’s a good chance they’ll be added in a free update.
