Sid Meier’s Civilization III: Complete is one of the gamings most revered turn-based strategy games, spanning many generations, and making a name for itself even today. With Civilization VI as their latest release.
Even though Humble Bundle was recently bought by IGN, the site has continued its tradition of the occasional free game promotion, with their latest entry into this generous series giving away Sid Meier’s Civilization III: Complete:

A few months ago, the site also gave users a free copy of Tropico 4, which is also another prominent game in the genre.
Unfortunately, the only caveat of Sid Meier’s Civilization III: Complete whole deal is that the game’s online servers were suspended as of May 31st, 2014. Meaning the game can no longer be played over the internet. LAN is still supported and considering the system requirements of the game, we can safely say that any modern PC can run it without breaking a sweat.

Today, for the next 45 hours as of typing this post, the game is free on the Humble store. You can get it by going here.
You can get the game for free by following the relatively simple steps outlined below:
- Login to Humble Bundle
- Add Civilization III to Cart and proceed to checkout
- At checkout, confirm the price and your e-mail.
- Click ‘Get It For Free!’ and after the order processes, a message says that your key is being e-mailed to you.
- Check your email and click the image. You will be directed back to Humble Bundle website. If you have not linked your Steam account to the website, do so.
- Redeem the key! Copy the key code and enter it in Steam. (AAAAA-BBBBB-22222)
