Nintendo originally announced Animal crossing for Switch in a Nintendo Direct broadcast back in Sept. Ever since people have speculated its release date on Switch since no definitive date was announced by Nintendo. Animal Crossing is a very popular game amongst Nintendo players since the game started its life on N64 as Animal Forest back in 2001. As for the release on Nintendo Switch, it has been rumored that the game may release as early as March or April next year as opposed to Q2 of 2019 which was the general understanding at the time of the announcement.
Animal Crossing has had a number of sequels over the years. It is an original Nintendo publication as well as development. There are five main Animal Crossing games that were released ever since the very first one in 2001. There have also been three spin-off games based on the original. Animal Crossing is no doubt very popular amongst mobile gamers as the game exists on Android and iOS so we can see why it will be a perfect match for a console like Nintendo Switch.
Animal Crossing for Switch May Release in March / April 2019
According to some very reputable sources the game may arrive on Switch as early as Q1 2019 which typically means the months of March and April. There have also been rumors regarding the price of the game upon release which would be around €59,99 or $70.
A feature liked by many is the game’s calendar and internal clock system which simulates real-time passage. Essentially, the game revolves around farm life where you can befriend many different animals and carry out such activities as fishing, bug catching, and fossil hunting.
The simplicity and eye-catching visuals of the game is what draws many people’s interest and it is perfect for a mobile/ handheld platform. We hope that the rumors become true and we the game on Switch as early as March.
