The mobile gaming landscape has changed drastically over the last couple of years. Especially with the arrival of the BR genre to the mobile platform, games like PUBG and Fortnite have garnered an even bigger audience on mobile than other platforms. Part of the appeal is undoubtedly the portability factor and the fact that most people own decent enough smartphones to run these games without buying any extra equipment. In regards to BR games, there is some good news for Android gamers as the latest patch has brought forth the ability for the game to be run at 60 FPS on Fortnite Android.

60 FPS on Fortnite Android After Patch 7.30

Fortnite Mobile patch 7.30 was released just recently and with it the devs have enabled the game to be run at 60 fps. The mobile version of the game initially came out with the launch of Note 9 last year. However, the game was somewhat limited in its functionality on Android. The major limitation being the inability to be run at a 60fps which was entirely possible on the Apple version at the time.

Epic Games had promised its Android fanbase that a 60 fps support would be released in the near future. Today the patch is here. However, there is a catch. Currently, the 60 fps support is limited to a select few devices. The devices being:

  • Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (USA variant)
  • Huawei Honor View 20
  • Huawei Mate 20 X

This may infuriate users of other Android smartphones but Epic Games has stated that soon they will be extending the support to other major OEMs and proceedings are currently underway.
