VR Mode found in the Nintendo Switch I know, it sounds totally insane, but apparently, there are details and evidence to support its existence in the console that was datamined by some users and further activated, details below.

VR Mode found in the Nintendo Switch

This all started when Twitter user OatmealDome claimed that after some digging through the AM service documentation he found an interesting bit of code, check out his tweet below

ICommonStateGetter::SetVrModeEnabled(bool), which would imply that you want the VR mode to enable or not, after this, twitter user random666_kys tried messing with the code and got the following results

The following screen appeared when the user used the code in his Nintendo Switch device which was in firmware versions 4.1.0.

The text that has come is in French and means

“Please move the console away from your face and click the close button”

We’re not exactly sure how this would function or what this means but it is interesting and we’re curious to see where the development in this hidden feature goes.

Given the resolution and specification of the Nintendo Switch, however, it’s hard to say if it can even deliver a worthwhile VR experience but it’s possible that this was never meant to be found in the documentation, to begin with.

We’ll update you in this VR thing when something happens, but for now, this line of code and the screen that appears after using it is all there is.

If you’re a Nintendo Switch user and are planning to buy Super Smash Bros Ultimate, make sure to check out its file size as well.

We’re excited to see more games coming to Nintendo Switch on literally a daily basis now, if you’re interested in playing Undertale on Nintendo Switch, do read all about it here.
