Google Indie Games Accelerator (IGA) is currently taking place in Singapore, it’s the meeting ground of Indie game developers from all over the SEA region which recently expanded to include Pakistan and India into their map. The purpose of the Google Indie Games Accelerator program is to help mentor and guide developers into improving their games, business model and provide them with an assortment of tools to help them become better Google Play Store developers.
Two of the graduating startups hail from Pakistan. We. R. Play and Dreamnode Studios.
We. R. Play was founded in 2010 and is better known for their mobile game ‘Run Sheeda Run‘. An endless runner that pays homage to the style and aesthetic of what running across the streets of Pakistan is like. The game garnered a lot of attention and was a one-hit wonder for Pakistani audiences across the country and even neighboring countries.
