Fortnite Playground and 50v50 is coming back, so far only to Fortnite Chinese. These modes saw a lot of popularity in the past. Especially 50v50 which was much more accessible than the solo mode for a lot of new players. This mode had two teams of 50 players each where they would have to work together in order to out-maneuver the other team. This news was highlighted by the following tweet:

The Chinese website of Fortnite is what made the reveal that Fortnite Playground and 50v50 is coming back on 24th July. Fortnite Playground is a mode where there is extra loot and extra resources and players are given extra time to roam around the map. There is also instant respawning in this made.
People have done some exceptionally creative things in Fortnite Playground mode in the past. Players have recreated Mario Kart and Call of Duty Maps in their entirety in the past. Watch out, Minecraft. Fortnite Playground is coming to steal your thunder.
So far no official announcements have been made for these modes coming back from anywhere but China. The source for this is the official Chinese Fortnite website.
