The crazy popular Dota 2 mod, which made the game alive again by making it reach 1 million concurrent players after a long time, Autochess is now available for Android. You can pre-register for the game and you will get free candies, which is an in-game consumable.
What is Autochess? Autochess is a game mod released for Dota 2 by Cutey Wang. The game has a single map where 8 different players are granted with starting gold which they can use to buy new pawns and level up. Each player fights with 7 different players where each player has a unique strategy using Dota 2 heroes as base models. The game is neither Dota nor it is chess.
The game is, however, is a turn-based strategy game that pits you against seven other players in round after round of resource-management action – you won’t need any APM to compete here, as all the units do battle on their own after you place them. Each round you face a random opponent from whoever is remaining in the game, until there’s only one left standing. Placing in the top three will net you some candy, which you can use to unlock cosmetics you can use from game to game. After a few games, you’ll also get a ranking based on chess pieces, like pawn, knight, or bishop, and this will go up and down as you continue to play games.
It will take a lot of time and the article will become long if I started to explain how to play it. Although the Google Play store describes the gameplay as,
Players will randomly get their Heroes in the Sharing Cardpool, and form special formations according to their unique strategies. Evolution, combination, jockey for position etc. enable you to practice your strategies to the greatest extent. Who will be adaptable to the changing tide and survive till the end?
