Kalypso Media and developers Yippee! Entertainment and Torus Games have announced the beta details for both Commandos 2 HD Remaster and Praetorians HD Remaster.

We’re finally going back to an era of hardcore single-player strategy games, that blew everyone’s minds back in 2001.

Beta Details for Commandos 2 and Praetorians HD Remasters

If you choose to pre-order either of the titles or both as a bundle, you will now get access to both games’s beta versions.

Check out the Beta trailer below

This offer is only eligible if you buy it via the Kalypso store. Players can pick up the titles individually or as a special double pack.

The keys you’ll receive can be redeemed and played on Steam. You can pre-order the titles directly through Steam as well, but you won’t gain beta access.

Beta keys can be redeemed via Steam, giving immediate access to each title’s breadth of content, including revamped tutorials, campaign missions, skirmish maps as well as Praetorians HD Remaster’s multiplayer mode.

Beta Content for Commandos 2 HD Remaster

  • Experience every tutorial and campaign mission from the original game revamped in high definition with new controls
  • Reunite with an eclectic cast of characters, including Jack ‘Tiny’ O’Hara and Whiskey the dog.

Beta Content for Praetorians HD Remaster

  • Learn the ropes or show militant might with access to every tutorial, campaign and skirmish mission from the original game
  • Play solo or go head-to-head with a fully remastered multiplayer mode

Release Date

Both titles are headed to Steam on January 24, 2020, on Windows PC and in Spring 2020 on consoles.

Remasters and Remakes are the best way for developers and publishers alike to preserve video games, especially ones that haven’t aged well.

We’re very excited to get our hands on both HD remasters and play through the excellent campaigns again.
