There is a bit of bad news for those who were looking forward to solo and duo modes in Apex Legends. Dataminers have revealed that developers have taken the code out of the files which previously hinted towards the two modes making their way to the game.

Apex Legends has done a tremendous job at attracting a devoted fan base. The game has grown immensely since the day of the release. The free to play expect of it has also helped with the insane traffic to the game. However, many of the players have asked for a Solo mode and a duo mode as the game only offers squad. This can be a bit problematic for those who don’t like playing with random people.

It can be argued that bringing the option for solo and duo to the game may introduce some inconvenience when it comes to matchmaking. Splitting the community into solos and duos will take its toll on lobby times. However, seeing how the game is growing at an exponential rate, this trade of may not be that much of a deal for most people.

Moreover, the devs have been busy coming up with Season 1 of the game and the battle pass as well. The first official season and battlepass were just released yesterday, So patience is required when it comes to solo and duo modes for the game. The devs also seem to be having rather an abundance of performance issues on PC which also adds to the work.

All in all, no decisive date can be announced for possible solo and duo modes, we await further clarification from the devs.
