RUMOR: Warner Bros Montreal Working on Batman Court of Owls Game

We reported earlier that Rocksteady and Warner Bros. Montreal are both working on a game set in the DC Universe. We now know for a fact that a Superman game is out of the question but there are still rumors that a Justice League game could be a project. A new tease from an employee at Warner Bros may have just teased a potential Batman Court of Owls Game.

A Batman Court of Owls Game – Dream Come True?

According to the tweet of an Assistant Producer at Warner Bros. Montreal, who is rocking the above shirt. This COULD be the next game the studio is working on. It isn’t uncommon for the team to rock merch for the game they are working on.

The emblem belongs to the Court of Owls

The Court of Owls is a secret underground organization that consists of Gotham’s most influential pulling the strings behind all major facets of the city. This covers all the organized crime that happens in Gotham City. They’re comparable to the Illuminati.

All of the members of the secret organization wear an owl mask to hide their identity and they are easily Batman’s biggest foe in the latest comic and animated movies.

Turning over the keys to the Batmobile?

Rocksteady might have had their fill with the caped crusader but that doesn’t mean Warner Bros. doesn’t have any further interests in the Bat. Perhaps the long-held rumors of a Damian Wayne Batman game fits best in with the games central antagonists being the Court of Owls.

Damian Wayne is the illegitimate son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul, daughter of Ra’s al Ghul. While he has been portrayed as headstrong and arrogant in the animated movies made, he is a complex character which people are slowly getting to like.

Considering that the studios haven’t made a new game since Arkham Knight and its supporting DLC, it would be a good change of pace to see something from either studio in 2019 as the waiting for a new DC game becomes unbearable.
