VLC gets iOS 7 makeover, updated to version 2.2, brings bunch of new features

Who among you can even imagine of having an entertainment device without having VLC Media Player in it! The famous Media Player has now gained popularity all across the World. Its simple interface with extended functionality is one of the REASON for it. You can play almost all audio and video formats using VLC Media Player. Its apps are already there for Android and iOS as people use the Media Player on their portable devices as well.

It has been about three months since the release of iOS7 and we still see apps getting updates for iOS 7 i.e. iOS 7 makeover. Yesterday, VLC app has also been updated to get iOS 7 makeover as confirmed by VLC Blog Feed. The update brings the app to version 2.2. The updated VLC app comes with bunch of new features.

The updated app comes with a whole new iOS 7 redesign making it look more sleek and handy. For the first time, the VLC app for iOS now offers Google Drive integration and streaming. The feature make it possible to upload a media file to Google Drive or to play the file if already there.

Moreover, now you can control the app using multiple gestures. You can play/pause a video by tapping your two fingers simultaneously. By swiping horizontally both fingers, you can either forward or rewind. Vertically, you can increase/decrease Volume or Brightness.
