Dark Souls is a franchise that has taken the gaming industry by storm, whether it is the longtime fans of the franchise, the gaming journalists, and developers that call every game “the dark souls of *insert said genre here*, or the people that hate the franchise just because they can’t get past the first tutorial boss, I jest, of course, the game isn’t for everyone but it’s relevance and impact is very prominent. A rumor has surfaced that Dark Souls Remastered PS4 Release Date has leaked and we very much want that to be true, take this with a grain of salt but be hopeful to embark on your quest (again hopefully) into the land of Lordran, remastered for the PS4 currently. Release Date
We understand that this news is a lot to take in because fans of the franchise (like me), have been asking for remaster/remake of the first Dark Souls and Demon Souls for quite some time, even though the PC community has enough graphical mods to make Dark Souls 1 look amazing, console gamers want to relive the glorious world of Lordran in update textures and higher resolution/textures.
From the leak, it seems the game is set to launch on May 24th, 2018 for the PS4.
Switch?
Something to keep in mind is that FROMSOFT also joined in with Nintendo to develop games for the Switch, it’s possible that the remaster may be making its way to Switch, which has been rumored quite the many times. We would love for Nintendo fans to try out the excellent series as well.
Miyazaki or Bandai Namco?
Something to note here is that the decision to remaster/remake either Dark Souls 1 or Demon Souls, rests solely on their publishers, this has been confirmed by the game’s director Hidetaka Miyazaki himself, the company’s direct involvement in sort of remaster/remake lies entirely in the hands of their respective publishers, Bandai Namco Entertainment for Dark Souls and Sony Interactive for Demon Souls.
