Wasteland 3 is a role-playing video game from inXile Entertainment and Deep Silver. The title is now available on PC via Steam, and Windows Store. It is also available on PS4 and Xbox One. For the most part, the game runs fine, but there are some technical problems present. If you are having Wasteland 3 Saving Issues on PC, here is how you can fix those.

The game launched a few hours ago and currently has mostly positive reviews on Steam. It has received critical acclaim and is sitting at a score of 85% on Metacritic.

Wasteland 3 Saving Issues

Multiple users have reported on Steam forums and Reddit that they can’t seem to save the game. This is usually because of some third party interference, and it seems that Bitdefender is the culprit this time around.

If you are having any issues saving the game, and have a third-party anti-virus like Bitdefender installed, simply add the Wasteland 3 installation folder to its exceptions/exclusions.

If you are unaware how that is done in Bitdefender, you can follow the steps below.

  • Open the Bitdefender program and go to the Protection windows.
  • Click the VIEW FEATURES link.
  • Select the Settings icon in the upper-right corner of the ANTIVIRUS module.
  • Select the Exclusions tab.
  • Click on the List of files and folders excluded from scanning accordion menu.
  • Click the Add button.
  • Click Browse and select the folder that you want to be excluded from scanning. Make sure it’s excluded from Both on-demand scanning and on-access scanning.
  • Click Add to save the changes and close the window.

After this, you should be able to properly save the game, and not run into this again.
