Guilty Gear is a 2D fighting video game series developed by Arc System Works. The first game came out back in 1998 and was followed by several sequels and anime series. Blaze Blue is the spiritual successor of the franchise, and thus shares a similar style. Now Guilty Gear 20th Anniversary Edition for Nintendo Switch has been announced with a brand new trailer.

This edition has been announced to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the franchise and will include the following titles bundled together
- Guilty Gear (OG)
- GUILTY GEAR XX ΛCORE PLUS R
GUILTY GEAR XX ΛCORE PLUS R is an updated version of Guilty Gear X2, and is available on Steam, with very positive reviews.
This collection will be available for Nintendo Switch and also have a physical release.
If you don’t own a Nintendo Switch, you can still both games on your PS4, through separate digital releases.

The exact release date hasn’t been announced, but it’s coming out in Spring this year.

The Guilty Gear franchise has been known for its anime-style fighting mechanics, that Arc System Works is now known for, and Blaze Blue is basically what Guilty Gear looks like today. There have been many titles in the series, and it’s nice for Nintendo Switch users to try out the series on the go.
The franchise also has some excellent soundtracks, with some of the most visually impressive combos and special moves in fighting games.
