Many were skeptical of the news considering how the game couldn’t run properly on the PC’ and Xbox One series of consoles as of launch and even right now, so a smartphone, even a flagship would struggle to keep up with such a demanding game.
Earlier today it was revealed that the fabled game has indeed come to pass and the smartphone port of the game is indeed out in China for Android and iOS.
You can see the video for the game running above, it is demonstrated on an iPhone X and the performance does exceed expectations.
If you are also curious about the design and how the game was made, there is an insightful video below for you to watch.
The game is also currently available in two variations as opposed to the mode that is offered on the PC and Xbox One:
1. PUBG: Army Attack – Developed by Tencent Timi Studio – Focuses on Land, Sea and Air battles.
2. PUBG: Exhilarating Battlefield – Developed by Lightspeed & Quantum Studio – Traditional PUBG.
Currently the game is up for pre-register on each store and the number has touched 75 million currently, but considering the official presence of Apple in China these past few years, we can easily assume that a large number of the population should have flagship phones capable of playing this behemoth.
