Google have not yet officially announced the upcoming Android OS i.e. Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. However the sources have confirmed that Google is working on the new version on Android i.e. Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. It is expected that Google will announce the new version officially in October of the ongoing year 2013.
Now the question is, when will be the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie released? According to the sources, Google is planning to release the new Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie with its new Nexus 5 or Nexus 10. Moreover, Android birthday dated 4 November is drawing closer. So it is expected that Google will release the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie and new Nexus 5 or 10 on 4th November.
The new Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie will be equipped with many new features and improvements. Few of the expected features are listed below:
Google Babel:
There will be addition of a new Google service i.e. Google Babel in the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. This service will merge the Google Talk, Mail, Voice and SMS services.
Backup SMS:
Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie allows you to back up your SMS through Gmail account so that you can use them when you switch to some other device.
Multi-Select the Contacts:
With the new Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie, you can select multiple contacts at once rather than adding them individually.
Video Chat App:
Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie will come with a default Video Chat app. Google is working on a Video Chat app that will be incorporated in the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.
Modified Keyboard:
There will be an updated keyboard in the new Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie that with make the typing faster and better.
Performance Profiles:
Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie will offer different profiles for different purposes and times. For example, while playing games you need more battery power, so Max Power delivering option can be used. Similarly, for Nights there will be profile with less brightness. A widget will allow you to select the required profile.
Widgets on Lock Screen:
Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie will enable you to add widgets on your lock screen. Hence this will customize your lock screen.
