New Windows Phone 8.1 leak reveals a new compact keyboard for Phablets

Till now, we have learnt a great deal of stuff regarding Windows Phone 8.1. But the things do not stop here. Each new week, even day, we have something new regarding Windows Phone 8.1. As the release of Windows Phone 8.1 is drawing near, we are getting more and more leaks. A new Windows Phone 8.1 leak reveals a new, compact keyboard for phablets.

Well, phablets are phones with larger displays. Lumia 1520 can be regarded as phablet as it has 6-inch large display. Not only this, there are other tablets too but, actually, operates on Windows RT. In Windows Phones, on-screen keyboard covers half of the screen to make the keys prominent. But the same goes in phablets too which really is not required. Hence, the display does not cover numerous things as half is captured by keyboard. This issue seems to be covered in Windows Phone 8.1. Thanks to the leak from Windows Phone SDK DevPreview.

The new Windows Phone 8.1 leak fixes the display for large phones. There is no such change in the view of keyboard layout except emoji key which is no more there. The size of keys have been reduced hence increasing screen space.

Still it’s not confirm whether the option will be default for certain devices or you will have the choice to select the appropriate keyboard for your choice. A nice feature indeed. What you expect more from Windows Phone 8.1?
