Leaked Screenshots of WhatsApp iOS shows VoIP feature

Last month, many people got surprised when they learnt Facebook bought WhatsApp for $19 billion. The deal includes $16 billion cash and $3 billion stock, taking sum to $19 billion. Later on, at MWC 2014, the CEO of WhatsApp revealed Voice Communication for the app. The feature will be coming in the 2nd quarter of the year as said by CEO.

Well, the news seems to come true quite early than expected. Recently, leaked screenshots of WhatsApp iOS emerged on Italian Apple blog. The screenshots shows the VoIP feature in WhatsApp iOS. Have a look on these screenshots:

Well, the feature looks like the new phone app in new iOS 7.1 update. The design of the app is in accordance with iOS 7 design. As observed from screenshots, you can mute the call or transfer it to Speaker mode. You can even ‘message’ while on call. The 3rd image shows a camera button at the top of keyboard. The button allows you to send multiple images simultaneously. Till now, you can only send one picture at a time. WhatsApp iOS is receiving the feature first.

The VoIP feature will be free for WhatsApp users. So surely, Whatsapp is going to compete many popular VoIP apps at the moment. Viber is one of them. Let’s see what WhatsApp brings for its users.
