In January Playstation added a new section in the Playstation Store, Playstation Music. Just 2 months later on March 30, 2015 they introduced a new music app Spotify. Spotify have replaced Sony’s Music Unlimited which Playstation users had to pay for to use. With Spotify you can listen to your favourite hits for free! Upgrade to Premium and listen to music offline, with better sound quality (HD), no more adds and download music as well. New Spotify users get Premium free for up to 2 months and Premium account can be bought for $9.99 per month, previously users of Music Unlimited also got a 60 day free trial. The new music destination that brings Spotify to Playstation 4, Playstation 3 and Xperia mobile devices in 41 markets around the world. With Spotify Playstation 4 and Playstation 3 users can stream music while playing you’re game. Only Playstation 4 users can listen while they play. A Sony representative said this feature won’t be coming to the Playstation 3 app. Spotify offers over 30 million songs and 1.5 billion playlists. They have a playlist for everything! They have a #ThrowBackThursday, T.G.I.F and many more! Want some music for a certain activity well they’ve got that covered as well in the genres and moods section with categories such as, Chill, Trending, Party, Workout and obviously more. Follow a certain category, artist/band, or Spotify user and receive updates on a new album release and such things like that. So what’re you waiting for?
