Rachel McAdams All Set to Play a Role in Doctor Strange, But Who?

Rachel McAdams

We all know that Marvel is going all speed ahead towards their phase 3 and that Doctor Strange is very close to beginning production. Despite the fact that all of the major roles are filled, there is this one anomaly. Even though Rachel McAdams is onboard, we still don’t know which role she will be taking on. Now here’s a little rumor that Rachel McAdams just might be playing a Night Nurse, but here’s the catch, she won’t be playing the Night Nurse.

One of the many rumors that speculated when Rachel McAdams was first attached to the project was that her role would be that of Linda Carter, which is more known as the Night Nurse. However there were three woman who use the Night Nurse Codename. Rachel McAdams is rumored to play the part of another of these women, Christine Palmer.

This information is a little strange though. Why is this? Because Linda Carter character is certainly the best known of the Night Nurses. Why they are not using her isn’t exactly clear at this point. Rasario Dawson’s character from Daredevil was also written as the Night Nurse character, but wasn’t named Linda Carter – most probably because Marvel Studios had plans to use that character elsewhere. If Linda is not set to be appeared in Doctor Strange then where exactly will she appear? It’s possible that they’ll use the Palmer character to introduce the Carter character which is slightly backward given that Carter came first and Palmer second.

Everything that has surfaced so far suggests us that Doctor Strange won’t be an origin story which rules out the fact that they would tell you about how Strange and Palmer met. Christine Palmer was a surgical assistant, and Stephen Strange began as a brilliant surgeon. This could obviously would have put them together.

Regardless of whether or not this rumor is true, Doctor Strange will have one of the best casts this side of a crossover. Benedict Cumberbatch has the title role of the Sorcerer Supreme; Tilda Swinton will be the Ancient One, who teaches Strange to use his powers; and Chiwetel Ejiofor will star as the villain, Baron Mordo. The film is set to hit theaters November 4, 2016.
