Elance-oDesk is now “Upwork”, Introduces Slack like chat service

Elance and oDesk are one of the most popular freelance platforms in the world. Both companies merged back in December 2013 and today th company announced that is is merging both sits into one, unified platform Upwork.

Now when you’ll visit odesk.com, It will redirect you to upwork.com. elance.com will operate independently for now but in the future company is planning to migrate elance to Upwork as well. Upwork introduces a new mobile app, new search algorithms, faster processing and a real-time Slack like chat service where users will be able to interact with each other easily and they will be able to send files to each other as well. The new chat service will be available for everyone for free, even for those who are not using Upwork.

The mobile app will allow you to post and accept jobs. It will also allow you to set their availability so that clients can get in touch in touch with you in their free time.
