Apple Releases watchOS 2.1 For Apple Watch With New Language Support

Apple updated the watch OS to watchOS 2.1. The new watchOS 2.1 brought many new languages to the Apple Watch including Arabic, Czech, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Malay,  Portuguese (Portugal) and Vietnamese. Some bug fixes and performance improvements are also included in the update. for example, calendar compilation was not working and it is fixed now. An issue while changing the system’s language is also resolved.

  • Adds a new complication for Islamic and Hebrew Calendars
  • Adds support for Siri and dictation in Arabic (Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates)
  • Adds support for dictation in English (Malaysia), Czech, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Portuguese (Portugal) and Vietnamese
  • Resolves an issue that could prevent events from updating in the Calendar complication
  • Fixes an issue that could prevent the time from displaying in Power Reserve mode
  • Addresses issues that could prevent third-party apps from launching
  • Fixes an issue that could prevent third-party app icons from displaying correctly
  • Fixes an issue that could cause instability when changing the system language

The update can be installed by going to the Software Updates menu in My Watch on Apple Companion app for iOS. The update might take some time to reach your country so if you cannot see the update yet, you may want to wait a little before getting depressed.
